Biking in Portland isn't just about statistics and grand plans to save the planet from carbon-belching monstrosities. It is also lots of fun - especially in the summer.

Pedalpalooza is THE bike event of the summer (aside from the Bridge Pedal).

With 135 events, most organized by individuals, bikers of all persuasions are likely to find many events of interest. Nearly all events are free.

I'm planning on going on the Graffiti Ride tomorrow night. I recommend the ride to Try/on Life Farm. Whatever events you choose - be sure to celebrate the culmination of Pedalpalooza at the Multnomah County Bike Fair with tall bike jousting, eating by bike, bike derby & slow race, bike craft vendors, bike repair, marry your bike booth, and a beer garden!
