Columbia Group of Sierra Club Trains Sustainability Volunteers

The Portland-based Columbia Group of the Sierra Club is embarking on a public education and outreach program for promoting sustainability in the community. This '2007 Sustainability Project' will focus on five areas: food, energy consumption, transportation and recycling. In order to change peoples' behaviors in these areas, the Columbia Group's Sustainability Committee is training volunteer speakers to take the message of sustainability, along with visual aids and resources, to local groups such as Scouts, professional organizations, church groups, etc.

The volunteer training meeting takes place:
Monday February 5, 7:00pm
Portland Sierra Club office
