An Elegant Outhouse

The aesthetics of (in)convenience and the joys of winter camping in the home are accessible to some of the most progressive and creative Worldchangers. It should not be forgotten, however, that Worldchanging ideas can also be transcendently transparent - beautiful, and life enhancing. On a crisp winter bike ride through Willamette Park, I was naturally drawn to this beacon of an outhouse. Once inside, I was moved beyond words. James Turrell, an artist of architecture and light, sometimes creates spaces like this. To find such luminance in a park privy is a reminder that energy saving and Worldchanging solutions can be transcendent and infinitely inspirational.
