This is a call to action. We have a country at risk and a world at risk, and your active participation is needed to pull the bacon out of the fire. We need informed citzens ready to take action. Are YOU one of the few, the questioning, the willing? Then jump on board because we need you.

There are major forces at work in the world today that place us all at risk. Everyone knows, even if many won't admit it, that Earth is a closed system. The resources that are here are the resources that we have, and increasingly they are running out - whether we talk about fresh water or oil, old growth trees, or fish in the sea. The fools will say, "Hey, we have 250 years worth of coal," or "30 years worth of oil", or "we can farm raise all the fish we will ever need." Two hundred and fifty years is a blink of an eye. Heck, the US hasn't even been around for 250 years. Regardless, when we strip every last natural resource from the planet, then what?

Then there are the consequences for our use of resources and disregard for the waste we create. Toxic environments, pharmaceutucals in our streams, invasive species, and global warming (to name a few). If we do not act, we can look our children in the eyes and tell them, "I'm sorry I killed your planet."

But we are frozen by another issue, and that is the corporatization of our lives, our governments, and our world. We have allowed, even facilitated, the transfer of power from OUR hands to the hands of elite interests. To do anything else, we must take that power back. We must take it back politically, and we must take it back in our lives and communities.

We need creativity. Einstein said: "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." We need to step outside the box, or we will be buried in the box.

SO Get angry, get smart, and get involved.
