Happy Holidays, Worldchangers!
This week's cartoon is meant to help you think creatively about your gift-giving choices this season. Alternative gifts, such as donations made in a friend's name or gift certificates given for services like green house cleaning or yoga lessons, are a great way to avoid overconsumption and hectic shopping areas. For more ideas check out out our guide for alternative gift giving.
Editor's note: This post is part of a series featuring Worldchanging ally Andy Lubershane's original graphics. While many of the issues covered in the comics have been discussed on Worldchanging in the past, we hope that you'll be able to use this new medium in a different way … whether it's in your classroom, on your office wall, or to help explain ideas to friends and family.

I fully support the idea of sustainable gift-giving. Kudos for writing this article and making the comic strip! Great ideas and simple, funny comic.
I would just like to point out that attending sporting events, movies and concerts may not use up natural resources, but building and maintaining movie theatres, sports stadiums and concert halls or sites does. I'm not saying we should never indulge in any of these activities. We just need to be concious that things don't just 'exist' for us to enjoy. Everything takes time, money and most of all, energy to produce. With that in mind, happy holidays.
