The conference "Solutions For a Shrinking Planet: Sustainable Engineering and Enterprise for Human Development" to be held September 30-October 2 at Stanford, will highlight interdisciplinary and participatory approaches to appropriate, sustainable development. Speakers will include William McDonough and Patricia Galloway, president of the ASCE.
