Obviously not new, but one hell of a success story: Suhit points us to Room to Read opening its 1,000th library in South Asia. By matching outside resources and local expertise and labor, RtR has not only built 1,000 libraries, but built 70 schools, shipped over 380,000 books, and created 30 computer labs. Cool stuff.
